Discover how to make a smooth and creamy dairy-free chocolate ganache. Whether you want a coulis or a glaze, this quick and easy recipe will adapt perfectly to your favorite desserts. I use it every time but also in my traditional Christmas Log. Try it now for a perfect glaze! Enjoy!

Chocolate Ganache

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

A smooth and shiny dairy-free ganache to glaze your favorite desserts.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 tbsp strong ground coffee
  • 1/4 cup butter or vegetable margarine
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup cocoa
  • 2 1/2 cups icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring the water and butter to a boil.
  2. Remove from heat and immediately add cocoa and coffee, whisk well.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until the ganache is shiny and the powdered sugar is well incorporated.
  4. Finish by adding the vanilla extract.
  5. Let the ganache cool, depending on your needs you can use it as a coulis when it is lukewarm, or as an icing when it has been able to rest in the refrigerator.
