I’m Emilie!
I am so happy to have a place to share my recipes and cooking tips with you! I don't claim to be a professional pastry chef, but I have been cooking for as long as I can remember and I am a self-confessed "foodie"-epicurean. Culinary traditions are at the heart of my childhood memories, whether it's the birthday cakes my mother made, or the spaghetti sauce and apple-cinnamon pie I made with my father.
It was about five years ago that I started more seriously to adapt my favorite recipes and create new ones following the food intolerances of my second baby. The intolerances, and consequently the elimination diets to continue breastfeeding, became more complex with his brother and sister who followed. So I developed a certain expertise in the field by wanting to modify our diet so that they could all eat like us! It gave me the opportunity to try a vegan and gluten-free diet, quite a challenge for the amateur pastry chef that I am!
Today, the vast majority of my recipes are soy and dairy free, I can also offer you some alternatives to eliminate eggs and gluten. Since not all recipes are adaptable, sometimes it is better to stick to pastries that do not contain the food you are trying to eliminate rather than distorting the recipes too much...

If you follow me on social media, you know that I love cooking with my kids. It's a great time to spend with my family, and I often get confidences from them while we prepare dinner when we get home from school. Over the years, my husband and I have become a great team in the kitchen, we love trying new recipes and he is the undisputed champion of discovering new products at the grocery store or at the Market. I am also preparing a file of our favorite recipes to cook as a couple, you will find them soon in a dedicated section!
I must admit that cooking alone is my little joy. Putting on my apron on Sunday morning to make scones, or decorating a cake during an afternoon nap, it's meditative. Besides the pleasure of creating beautiful things, seeing those I love delight in what I have prepared is truly the greatest gift.
It is therefore without any pretension that I humbly offer you these recipes. I hope that you will have as much pleasure in cooking them as I have in sharing them with you, and above all, that you will enjoy them!
