Make a delicious giant cookie to share in just a few simple steps. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for using up your leftover chocolate. Ready in less than 30 minutes, it's ideal for a family snack.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (vegetable or coconut oil) at room temperature
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup milk (oat milk preferred)
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (or chocolate bar pieces)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Mix the ingredients. Mix butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Then add egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
- Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add this to the wet preparation while incorporating the milk to obtain a very smooth paste.
- Add the chocolate chips to the dough.. Reserve a small amount to garnish the top of the cookie.
- Pour the batter into a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate pieces on top and place the pan in the oven.
- Cook for about 20 minutes. The biscuit should be golden brown. Let it rest for 5 minutes before unmolding.
Notes
For a vegan version, replace the egg with an additional teaspoon of baking powder. This cookie is perfect for any occasion, allowing you to reuse leftover chocolate in a delicious and friendly way.
