Giant chocolate cookie to share

Make a delicious giant cookie to share in just a few simple steps. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for using up your leftover chocolate. Ready in less than 30 minutes, it's ideal for a family snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter (vegetable or coconut oil) at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup milk (oat milk preferred)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips (or chocolate bar pieces)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Mix the ingredients. Mix butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Then add egg and vanilla extract, mix until smooth.
  3. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together. Add this to the wet preparation while incorporating the milk to obtain a very smooth paste.
  4. Add the chocolate chips to the dough.. Reserve a small amount to garnish the top of the cookie.
  5. Pour the batter into a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle the reserved chocolate pieces on top and place the pan in the oven.
  6. Cook for about 20 minutes. The biscuit should be golden brown. Let it rest for 5 minutes before unmolding.

Notes

For a vegan version, replace the egg with an additional teaspoon of baking powder. This cookie is perfect for any occasion, allowing you to reuse leftover chocolate in a delicious and friendly way.
